Sun Conures

The sun conures have moved to Altura Park, 477 Fullerton Rd, RD1 Te Kuiti. 3981. Altura Park is situated amongst limestone formations just 4 kms from the famous Waitomo Caves. The Park was first opened to the public in 2000. They have many different varieties of friendly birds and animals in our 20 acre wildlife park. There is loads of interaction and feeding of the animals.

Please stop and have a chat to these fabulous birds. One has been hand-reared and has quite a lot to say for himself.

They live in the savanna woodland, palm groves and dry forests of Brazil and Venezuela. They eat fruits, seeds, nuts and some green vegetation.
